Darwin to Kakadu Coach tours
Long days and early starts are necessary every day to be able to get through all the attractions by Coach. So, it was great that we did not have to drive, and we could sleep a bit between stops.
You can experience 4 unique regions from Darwin to Kakadu by Coach
- The waterfalls and termite mounds of Litchfield National Park
- Crocodiles, wildlife and the Mary River wetlands
- The epic vegetation of Kakadu and the rock paintings of Ubirr Rock
- The amazing ancient sandstone of Katherine Gorge
Litchfield National Park Tours: Waterfalls
If you like the idea of wandering from the exuberant, refreshing, refreshing waterfall that flows freely to the next day all day, this coach tour will surprise you. Although, there may be some fish trying to give you a pedicure. Just relax and go with that!
Maguk (Barramundi Gorge)
Another day in the Australian outback by coach and another impressive gorge to go swimming! From our camp near the Mary River, we went by bus to Maguk. Upon arrival, you may detect a disturbing sign; Crocodiles that roam freely. Watch for signs for the crocodiles that might be wondering. Therefore, the area in which you would be swimming would be safe.
Ubirr Rock Art
When you think of the Australian Outback by coach, you probably imagine red sand and rocks. Well, after the wet season, there are actually areas of intense green. You almost feel like you have appeared in Africa. Totally intact and completely unexpected. Of course, Kakadu may not look like this throughout the year.
Katherine Gorge’s Experience
In certain parts of the year there is also a kayak option. You can see hundreds of flying foxes gathered around the Katherine Gorge cruise terminal. The trees are full of these noisy creatures! A deep gorge carved in ancient sandstone by the Katherine River attracts thousands of visitors to the Nitmiluk National Park, every year.
Distinct features of sandstones dissected in the country above the gorge, lush tropical forests inhabit giant cracks in the walls of the gorge, and wide valleys meander through the high and low country. Enjoy a boat trip, helicopter flight, several walks, camping and canoeing. Leliyn, Edith Falls is also a great attraction within the Park.
