Experience the World Heritage Kakadu National Park on this interactive day tour from Darwin. On this small group Kakadu day tour, your offroad Guide will interpret for you, the Ancient Artworks at the Ubirr Rock Art Sites. Here you’ll visit an incredible ancient rock art gallery home to some of the oldest artworks in the world.
Ancient Rock Art
Your guide will take you through the gallery, pointing out some of the iconic artworks as well as giving you an insider’s perspective and historical background on the Cultural stories behind the artworks.
Nadab Lookout
As you walk through the gallery, you’ll slowly make your way towards the Nadab lookout. Here you will see incredible views out over the top of Ubirr Rock and across the Nadab floodplains towards the iconic Arnhem Land. And climb to the top to view the 360 lookout over the Wetlands from the Nadab lookout.
For the less active, there is still plenty of art to view at ground level, but for those who make it to the top, the view is worth the climb. The climb is not difficult but can be steep in places.
Guluyambi Cultural Cruise
Join the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River, to hear about the history and culture of the people and the land and take up their invitation for a step into Arnhem Land, where there will be a small cultural demonstration. Its unique terrain makes it a picture perfect experience
Cultural Demonstration
An experience you won’t want to miss, your Indigenous guide will give you a historical and cultural perspective of the area through the eyes of a local. You are invited to stop midway through the cruise and take a walk out into Arnhem Land. Here you will be given a short Cultural demonstration.
Your professional driver guide will drop you back at your accommodation early evening. The whole day is approximately 12 hours return.
