One Direction To Get Waxed for Madame Tussauds World Tour Madame Tussauds confirmed all five members of the phenomenally successful band, One Direction, are to be created as wax figures for a touring attraction that will kick off in three Madame Tussauds venues – London (April 18-July 11), New York (July 19-October 11) and Sydney (October 24- January 28).

Louis, Liam, Harry, Zayn and Niall have been involved throughout the sculpting process and are excited to be transformed into wax statues, following the steps of other pop sensation heartthrobs like Justin Bieber.

The sculptors creating the figures are working in close collaboration with the band and are aware thousands of fans will be clamouring for a look at their heroes’ doubles as soon as they make their debut at each venue.

From start to finish the creation process will take four months and each figure will cost Madame Tussauds $220,000 to make.
