Always keeping us in the know with which bands to watch, BBM’s Dan Barnes tips Dinosaur Pile-Up as one’s to watch.
With two albums to their name so far, Leeds band Dinosaur Pile-Up are in the process of establishing themselves as mainstays in the live circuit. They play alternative rock but are more influenced by the early 90s grunge bands than many of their contemporaries. They also play loud, for a three-piece they possess a venue-destroying volume of noise. Their live shows are definitely worth checking out.
‘Nature Nurture’, their second record, came out last year and while slightly more refined than their first album, ‘Growing Pains’, there is still more than enough of what make this band great, energy, rawness and volume. Tracks like ‘Heather’ and ‘Draw A Line’ are Dinosaur Pile-Up at their best and could easily have been on the first record. Future releases are well worth keeping an eye out for.
The band have Bandcamp and Soundcloud pages where you can listen to their material.
