One To Watch: Pat Lok

Fresh new talent on the Dance music scene hails from Vancouver, Canada, with young DJ and Producer Pat Lok.

Little is known about the rising talent music man as of yet, but his release ‘Move Slow’ last month has brought him into the limelight. And with his innovative and creative play on catchy, dance floor tracks, he is certainly one to keep an eye on.

‘Move Slow’ saw Kaeyae Alo feature with her soothing vocals over electric, body moving synth. It was released via THUMP and is available now on BMKLTSCH RCRDS.

The accompanying video directed by Jen Oleksiuk and Scopitone Films is a refreshing take on the Dance video. Ditching typical club scenes and half naked women, the visuals are of artistic substance. The video explores superstitions surrounding red roses.

Pat Lok has also previously remixed the works of AlunaGeorge and Cashmere Cat. An expert of breathing a new lease of life into music, he also shows innovation with his own tracks. ‘Body II Me’ (available via SoundCloud) for example, also demonstrates his refreshing approach, with House beats and colossal club-filled energy.
