Peter Hook to Tour with Happy Mondays

Peter Hook is to join the Happy Mondays on tour Down Under. The former Joy Division and New Order bassist will play a special DJ set to warm up the crowd as the original line up of the Mondays tour Australia for the first time. Aside from being to two seminal bands Peter Hook also helped fund the Hacienda club, which took centre stage in the MADchester scene of the early 90s, and was immortalised in the film 24 Hour Party People. With a leg firmly in both camps and happy to straddle to gap between rock and dance music The Happy Mondays will kick off their infectiously enthusiastic tour in Brisbane, moving on to Sydney, Melbourne (where they will be joined by local stalwarts Underground Lovers) and finishing up in Fremantle.
