Pop To Popism
Until 1st March 2015, you can explore the origins of pop art at the Art Gallery of NSW.
A movement that was driven by the advertising, film stars and pop culture of the early 1960s onwards, these works rebelled against high art. In Pop To Popism, pieces including ‘Look Mickey’ by Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol’s ‘Triple Elvis’ will be on show alongside Australian artists Martin Sharp, Howard Arkley, Brett Whiteley and Maria Kozic.
