White Water Rafting with RnR is the most exciting and fun way to discover the pristine rainforest of Tropical North Queensland and has the advantage of departures all year round, tropical water temperatures and ease of access to compliment breath-taking scenery and rapids. It’s also a great bonding experience and makes an exciting team-building activity for any age group. Out three rivers have something for everyone.

Our enthusiastic river guides have regular training updates and are committed to extremely high safety standards, meeting Australian Outdoor Recreation Standards and maintaining our position as industry leaders.

Half-Day Barron River Rafting

raftingThe Barron River is North Queensland’s most exciting half-day tour. Feel the rush of white water rafting within the awesome wilderness of Australia’s tropical rainforests.

· Great introduction (rapids graded 2 to 3)

· Half-day tour (up to 2 hours of rafting)

· Paddle through the majestic scenery of Barron Gorge National Park

· Great for groups and incentives

· Can combine with other adventure tours (eg. hot air ballooning, skydiving, horse-riding and ATV safaris)

· Additional POB Levy of $25

· Minimum age 12 years

 

Inclusions:

· Up to 2 hours of white water rafting through Barron Gorge National Park

· Return air-conditioned coach transfers from Cairns & Northern Beaches accommodation (Port Douglas accommodation on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays only)

· Safety equipment – life jacket, helmet and spray jacket

· Afternoon refreshments and digital photo viewing for Cairns passengers only (Beaches and Port Douglas passengers receive a snack pack)

· Digital photos available for purchase on the same day

· Experienced and rigorously trained River Guides

Full-Day Tully River Rafting

The Tully River is Australia’s most famous rafting adventure – a highlight of any visit to Tropical North Queensland. Let RnR, the rafting specialists, look after you for an action-packed experience filled with fun, thrills and spills on a day you will never forget. Ride the rush of exciting Grade 4 rapids and if you dare, take the plunge and try raft surfing, rapid swimming and rock jumping with your guide!

· Australia’s most famous and best one-day white-water rafting experience.

· More than 45 rapids (graded 3 to 4).

· Action-packed 5 hour adventure through World Heritage Rainforest

· Scenic drive to Tully, South of Cairns

· Additional POB Levy of $30

· Minimum age 13 years

· Up to 5 hours of rafting through World Heritage Rainforest

· More than 45 rapids

· Return air-conditioned coach transfers from accommodation

· Safety equipment – life jacket, helmet and spray jacket

· Freshly brewed morning tea/coffee

· Riverside BBQ lunch

· Raft surfing, rapid swimming and rock jumping

· Visit to Rafters Cafe & Bar – view video highlights of the day whilst enjoying afternoon refreshments with your guide

· Photos/DVDs available for purchase on the same day

· Experienced and rigorously trained River Guides

· Humorous and informative commentary

 

What to bring:

· Your ticket and POB Levy ($25 Barron, $30 Tully)

· You will need to sign an adventure waiver form

· A cap or visor (to be worn under safety helmet)

· Water-resistant 15+ sunscreen

· Swimming costume and Towel

· Secured footwear (Lace-up sandshoes or reef sandals that WILL get wet). Limited hire shoes are available at an additional charge.

· Change of clothes

· Money for photos, drinks and souvenirs

· We recommend that you wear an extra t-shirt or rash vest under your vest to prevent sunburn.

Items can be left on our coach while rafting. Please do not wear any jewelry – we advise that you leave your valuables in your hotel room.
