Day One – Great Barrier Reef
At 8:00 am, depart from Abel Point Marina. Enjoy four hours of sailing on the “Seaflight” pontoon right in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef. Take a s-bottom boat ride to see the marine life without getting wet, snorkel the coral fields, or just relax on one of the numerous loungers offered. You may add on extras like beautiful helicopter flights or scuba diving to your itinerary while visiting the Great Barrier Reef. When you get to Long Island Resort, it’s about time for you to unwind and enjoy your first night of lodging.
Day 2: Well-known Long Island
On Long Island, you may do as much or as little as you choose! The resort precinct, which is nine kilometres long, has been owned and managed by Ocean Hotels since 1994 (earlier owners were the Mountney family and Contiki Holidays). Take advantage of the water sports facilities, have a beverage at the pool bar, hike one of the numerous paths surrounding the island, or just spend the day relaxing on the beach.
Day 3: Whitehaven Beach & the Camira Sailing Adventure
Set sail for Camira (the Aboriginal term for “of the wind”) at 7:25 a.m. from Long Island. Take a leisurely trip on this amazing 85-foot sailing catamaran across the Whitsunday Islands, have some snorkelling, and see the breathtaking Whitehaven Beach. Lunch will be an all-Australian BBQ, with morning and afternoon tea, a complete set of snorkelling gear, and free wine and beer after 11:00 am. Arrives back at Abel Point Marina at 5:45 p.m.
Big Fury
Take Big Fury, one of the most thrilling rides in the Whitsundays, before the masses arrive. It will comfortably transport you to Coral Reef Sites in a third of the time it takes with some other boats. The breathtaking Whitehaven Beach is the first visit. Here, you may spend two hours swimming, unwinding, or wandering over the seven kilometres of immaculate white silica sand. Includes lunch, afternoon tea, and morning tea. Pleasant pickups and drops from nearby vacation rentals.
