Whitsunday Islands, an archipelago of 74 islands is situated off the central coast of Queensland about 900 km north of Brisbane. Being spread out in the Coral Sea, the northernmost of the islands are situated off the coast by the town of Bowen while the southernmost islands are off the coast by Proserpine. The largest of the cluster of islands is Hamilton Island covering a surface area of 199 km² while the smallest is the Titan Island with an area of 0.011 km².
