Review – Kuhn- Slime Beach EP

Fans of US dubstep producer Bennett Kuhn will likely delight in his latest EP, entitled Slime Beach. The experimental set of nine songs, including several remixes of the title track and ‘Back ‘n’ Forth.’ features elastic beats, weird electronic flourishes and futurist hip-hop that will please fans. It would also make a fitting soundtrack to the next rave or party. But casual fans of electronic music and dubstep might want to avoid this like the plague. The atmospheric ‘Island’ and thumping ‘Stoneskipper’ are arguably the highlights of this mini-album.
