Shakka Releases New Single ‘Just Want To See You’

You might know this soulful fella from his ‘Shakkapella’ videos on Youtube where he does pretty impressive covers of a host of different tracks but turns them into something completely different and brilliant. If you’ve never heard of him; sit up and listen.

‘Just Want To See You’ is Shakka’s newest release, which was released 11th November 2013, and it’s simply amazing. There’s passion and soul a-plenty and it showcases his exceptional voice perfectly. 

Shakka has been on the scene for a while now, releasing his debut single ‘Sooner or Later’ last year. His velvety voice and smooth tones have earned him two MOBO nominations this year for Best Newcomer and Best Song. Not only that but he has collaborated with some of music’s finest including Delilah and Etta Bond.

Various other accolades include playing the prestigious BBC Introducing stage at Glasto this year, getting his track ‘Spin’ on the Radio 1 and 1xtra playlists and even starring at the National Theatre in hit play, ‘Home’. Is there nothing this boy can’t do?

Essentially, if you’re a long-time Shakka lover then you won’t be disappointed with ‘Just Want To See You’ because it’s spot on. If you’re new to him then this track is the perfect place to start. We’re really excited to see how far this one will go.
