Single Review: Subb-an Featuring S.Y.F ‘Say No More’

Exciting British act Subb­-an is back with one of the most hyped tracks to land on Crosstown Rebels in ‘Say No More’ featuring vocals S.Y.F.

Collaborating with Cedric from Azari & III under new name S.Y.F (Starving Yet Full), ‘Say No More’ shows the wunderkind producer on a wholly satisfying song­ based tip.

With Cedric hypnotic vocal streaming over the upbeat, yet low-key backing track, ‘Say No More’ has got all the tools to be a dancefloor filler.

There is something distinctly late 90s about the track, with its moody bassline flipping evenly and the top hat cymbal hissing rhythmically throughout the track. Later on in the track a more modern approach infiltrates as drips and clicks build up in a minimal and somewhat muted way.
