On first listen – in fact, every listen – ‘Melody Calling’ isn’t easily traced back to The Vaccines.

Where their previous releases were rich with energetic choruses and catchy lyrics, ‘Melody Calling’ takes a step back into a more reserved territory.

Is this their attempt at a ballad? We’re unsure but either way the track is every bit appealing with its simplistic lyrics and dreamlike soundscapes.
