Single Review: Wilkinson- Need to Know/Direction

Released on Ram Records, Wilkinson’s ‘Need to Know’ masterfully blends the guitar riffs and electro synth pads that seem to have dominated the charts in the last 18 months.

While retaining its D&B personality thanks to beefy Jungle breaks, Iman’s “I need to know” vocal sounds classic and current at the same time, hinting at a Kelly Le Roc/ Shola Ama type ilk.

‘Direction’ is a heavier track that has a grimy bass line that will have you chair-dancing in no time, wishing you had stocked up on glow sticks and Pro-Plus. The dropping in and out of manic drums makes way for head nodding on a major scale!
