Smalltown Returns To Caulfield Racecourse This November
After selling out in record time for the first smalltown event at Caulfield Racecourse, Novel will return to the racecourse with some serious house and techno in tow.
The first warehouse event earlier this year had 3000 smalltown punters experience the brilliance of Dixon, Âme and Delano Smith, and this event in November is set to be no different. In fact, without a doubt it is set to be the hottest and most talked about party of the year as smalltown will host three stellar international artists: Ben Klock, Nina Kraviz and Bicep.
As one of the most distinguished selectors in the global techno scene, Ben Klock will return to Melbourne for one show only. Earning his place at #6 in the RA’s 2014 Top DJ poll, Klock is the label head as Klockworks, has released material on Ostgut Ton and held onto a long-time residency at the helm of techno; Berghain. Nina Kraviz will follow his lead, only coming to Melbourne especially for this smalltown event. Regarded as the most popular electronic dance music artist to some from Russia, Kraviz hasn’t taken this ride into fame lightly and earned her position through seamless producing and DJing. The Irish duo Bicep, are also locked in. With the title of being children of the internet, Bicep was birthed out of a small blog, posting about music they love (Feel my Bicep). Progressing into an international brand, they’ve established themselves as the scene’s most cultured tastemakers, showcasing everything from obscure disco grooves to underground techno.
A Funktion-One Soundsystem has already been booked for the event and as usual the production and set design will be contemporary and inspired.
First release tickets have already sold out – in fact they were sold out before the line-up was even announced – a testament to the power of the first warehouse party. Tickets will definitely not last long so be sure to snap them up while the chance is still there.
