Stimming’s Australian Tour Comes To Melbourne
Stimming has announced his Australian and New Zealand Tour, where he’ll be performing live in Brisbane, Melbourne, Auckland and Sydney over the Easter long weekend.
He shot to prominence through releases on Buzzin’ Fly and Liebe Detail before the release of his debut album, Reflections, back in ’09 on the Diynamic imprint that he calls home.
Stimming has subsequently remixed electronic music deity such as Luomo, Sascha Funke and Nina Kraviz, Alexander Kowalski and Blagger while steadily releasing EPs that continue to garner critical and dancefloor accolades for
offering top-drawer spiky tech-house hybrids and evocative house grooves. (As one particularly effusive review of Stimming’s b-side For My Girl on Resident Advisor gushed, “in terms of simple beauty… it simply makes my heart ache.”)
His sophomore album, Liquorice, dropped last year, with the folk at fabric nightclub describing the album as “a propulsive dive into the headspace of a producer whose hankering for slowed down electronic groove is unparalleled outside of producers like Nicolas Jaar.”
