Subsonic Music Festival Launch Party With Alexkid
Alexkid is launching the Subsonic Music Festival Launch Party on September 1 at The Burdekin.
As a member of the Subsonic Music family and a dedicated lover of Australia’s sunny (most of the time) shores, Alexkid is making a special trip to Australia to help launch the 2012 edition of the festival.
If you were lucky enough to be in the Pizza Lab at last year’s festival when Alexkid closed the party with a rammed dancefloor, you’ll know exactly why everyone wants him back again this year. If you missed out, you’ll have a good time regardless.
Born out of the Sydney free party scene and fueled by the legendary DSS Soundsystem, Low Society maintains a legacy as one of Sydney’s oldest dubstep and bass culture nights, having hosted some of the scenes biggest artists such as Babylon System, SPL, Icicle, Datsik, Broken Note, DZ, Foreign Beggars and Seven.
Right from the early days at the Gladstone Hotel, Low Society captured the energy of an emerging scene as one of the first nights to showcase the harder sound of early dubstep. After a massive 2011, Low Society has taken a step back in 2012 to refocus and reenergize, but the Subsonic Festival and Launch Party is a perfect excuse to come out of hibernation!
And to complete the 4-floor-madness there’s Subsonic Music mainstays and favourites in the form of: MSG, Marcotix, Dave Stuart, Kimba, Kerry Wallace, Jordan Deck, Mike Witcombe and Jay Smalls.
