Sydney Festival 2015
Sydney Festival returns with a whole host of events this January.
From 8th – 26th January, Sydney Festival will be another massive event on the 2015 calendar that’s most talked about. From circus performances to music from around the world and a huge party atmosphere, the holiday season continues with Sydney Festival. Here are some of their events to look forward to.
Tabac Rouge
Directed by James Thieree. Tabac Rouge is a circus performance that brings out the human desire and power from an angle of opium hallucination. It promises to give you an experience of a delusional blast. The preview is on 7th January at 8pm, with performances on Tuesdays at 6.30pm, Wednesday to Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 5pm.
The Rhythm And The Heart Of Brazil
Seu Jorge says ‘Bom Dia’ (Hello) and brings you a taste of Brazil here in Australia. With the excellent Brazilian sound of Seu Jorge, the performance will get you addicted to Rio’s music. Who knows? It could even be the starting point of your exotic Portuguese. The show starts on 11th January at 8pm with tickets from $45.
Parramatta Opening Party
Presenting the greatest music celebration on the planet, the legendary musician Paul Kelly will be on stage performing his latest collaborative project, The Merri Soul Sessions. Not to be missed, his music will take you over the moon. The concert is on Friday 9th January from 6-11pm in Centenary Square (near Parramatta Town Hall). Best of all, tickets are free!
