The World Bar is a four-storey converted Victorian terrace located in the heart of legendary Kings Cross, transformed into a party machine set to stun – not only one of the most versatile and unique bar/nightclubs in town, but one that is open 7 days and hosts 7 of Sydney’s most diverse and long-standing clubnights in the evenings. Tuesday – Pop Panic: Party james, karaoke & no-nonsense bootyliciousness til the sun comes up. Free entry, a free drink on arrival for travellers, a free BBQ & free champagne for guys (& girls dressed as guys…)

Wednesday – The Wall: Sydney’s favourite arts-based clubnight, with weekly art exhibitions, free live stand-up comedy, and Playtime monthly theatre. Sydney’s best DJs (and the odd surprise international) dropping in for sneaky mid-week dalliances.

Thursday – Propaganda: Right proper guitar-based indie institution from the UK Propaganda is your one-stop shop for teapots, rock ‘n’ roll and Britpop sing-alongs. And for those who prefer a beat to a twing there’s Dancey Bollocks upstairs. Free entry for all and free drink on arrival for travellers.

Friday – MUM: The might womb of Sydney’s live music scene is MUM, giving birth to a near-impossible collection of 8 bands playing each week over 3 levels, plus more indie party DJs than you would ever dream of shaking a stick at. Dress code: tight jeans and a sexy attitude. $10 from 8pm, $15 after – or free before 10pm with student ID and $10 after.
