Roots of Music feat. Joe Forrester, Cardinal and The Mere Poets
Roots of Music is a weekly live music night Wednesdays at Revolver Bandroom and is the best place to discover new local and national talent. This week’s guests include Australian/American singer-songwriter Joe Forrester, whose Indie Folk-inspired music is often described as suicide songs, relationship horror stories and club bangers, plus regulars Cardinal and The Mere Poets. Doors open 8pm, entry is FREE and students receive 20% off food at Colonel Tan’s!

Red Bull Music Academy presents The Dinner Set feat. Ms Goldie
Revolver Upstairs in collaboration with Red Bull Music Academy present The Dinner Set every Wednesday in the Back Bar from 7pm ’til late. The evening is hosted by Julien Love, one of Australia’s finest DJs and Red Bull Music Academy NYC 2013 participant.
‘The Dinner Set’ features a blend of Melbourne’s best DJs & producers as guests each week, and runs every Wednesday. Best of all, entry is FREE!

Melbourne Fresh Industry Showcase
After 10 years, Melbourne Fresh at Revolver Upstairs is the longest running Industry Showcase in Australia. Having showcased thousands of artists over this time, the legendary night has been a local industry hotspot for unsigned musicians and industry professionals. Running as a competition, Melbourne Fresh gives away thousands of dollars in prizes at each Grand Final with EP recordings, cash prizes, CD pressings, iTunes releases, management consultation and much more.

3181 Thursdays
From dinner to Disco, Revolver keeps it laidback and local in the Back Bar every Thursday from 6pm with 3181 dinner resident Hans DC. Condensed Milk Collective cuzzies Amin Payne and Jackson Miles hit the decks from 10pm with a special guest each week, while the late night House and Techno you’d expect in the wee hours at Revolver are provided weekly by some of Melbourne’s finest youngsters including Hey Sam, Jesse Young, Matthew Butters, Sam Gudge, John Doe, plus a plethora of weekly guests. Free entry all night and half price Colonel Tan’s for 3181 residents, traders and Revolver members.

Friday 9th August

Eloquor, SIMPLEX, L-Fresh The Lion and DJ S-Tea
Eloquor returns to Revolver bringing his signature sound and engaging performance, supported by Adelaide Hip-Hop veteran SIMPLEX (TERRAFIRMA), emerging Sydneysider MC L-Fresh The Lion and DJ S-Tea spinning tunes throughout the night.

Revolver Fridays
Helmed by Mike Callander and Lewie Day (aka Tornado Wallace) Revolver Fridays kicks the weekend into gear with a healthy dose of House and Techno in the Revolver Back Bar from 10pm until 7am. Katie Drover, Safari and Brian Hendrie also make an appearance, with DJ Who providing the warm-up dinner soundtrack from 7pm. Rotating crews featuring Sophia Sin, Doakes, Nick Coleman, plus guests are in the Front Bar from 1am, and Sunshine spins in the Back Bar from 7am on Saturday morning.

Saturday 10th August

Only Aliens feat. Fusionite, Hugh Kirne and Michael Yule
Hailing from a galaxy far, far away Only Aliens are coming down to Earth to Rock Revolver on 10th August. Supporting them are Fusionite and Revolver favourites Hugh Kirne and Michael Yule. Doors open 8pm.

The Late Show
The Late Show is on every Saturday night at Revolver Upstairs over two rooms, from 7pm until 7am. Expect anything and everything across genres and tempos from Soul to Footwork, from Afro to Techno, from Soca to House, from Boogie to Bounce…you get the idea. The Back Bar takes it easy in the dining hours, then gathers momentum from 10pm; while the Front Room gets going from 1am. Residents include Ransom, Mat Cant, Paz, Lewis Cancut, Booshank and guests, plus Boogs from 7am on Sunday.

Never Cheer Before You Know Who’s Winning
ATTENTION TRIVIA FANS! Betcha don’t know the answer to these questions: Who is the lead singer of Friendly Fires? How many albums have You Am I released? What is the capital of Morocco? But enough rabbiting on: Mikey Cahill and Kerrie Loveless are your quiz consultants every Tuesday night, from 7.30pm-9.45pm. They explore music, film, current events and other random topics. Prizes include CDs, tickets, drinkcards, meals and all kinds of gear! Stick around afterwards as Repeter Fonda hits the decks from 10.30pm ’til 2am. Register by 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
