Ministry Of Sound Begs Boris Johnson To Save Their Club
Faced with the proposition of a housing site set for possible development just ten metres away from the Ministry of Sound, the owners of London’s superclub have reached out to Boris Johnson in one last gallant attempt to save their club.
Located in London’s Elephants and Castle, the venue has spent the last four years trying to ward off the plans for the housing site, knowing that the close proximity between the houses and the club will invite multiple noise complaints, and therefore undoubtedly result in the closing of the Ministry of Sound.
With the final decision expected from the Mayor of London on the 19th November, the chief executive of the Ministry of Sound Group, Lohan Presencer, said they are asking Boris for a legally binding guarantee that the club will continue to run as normal if the new houses are built, under the pretence that the new buildings will be acoustically sealed and therefore less likely to experience disruptions.
Now, with the impending decision fast approaching, the Ministry of Sound are encouraging their already-huge span of supporters to tweet Boris on Twitter by asking him to save their club, with the accompanying hashtag #SuperMayor – which will hopefully encourage the Mayor to be swayed towards the clubs defence, especially with the anticipated volume of tweets he’ll be receiving!
So as the Ministry of Sound faces a possible end to their almost-25 year reign of the Dance club realm, there’s only one thing they’ll be wanting for Christmas this year; Boris Johnson to swoop in and become their heroic #SuperMayor!
