tUnE-yArDs Announces New Album ‘Nikki Nack’
Following the 2011 success of W H O K I L L, Merrill Garbus or the formally known tUnE-yArDs, is to release her third studio album. tUnE-yArDs presents ‘Nikki Nack’ after a three year silence.
Although Garbus has been taking a well deserved time-out, she is suddenly back with a bang. She recently released a mega-mix of the forthcoming album, posting it online on her birthday…
“I’ve put together a mash-up of a lot of the songs from the album, so you can get a tiny taste. We really can’t wait to play this music for you. Thanks for all your patience while we cooked this chicken!” she said.
If the mega-mix of Pop, Dance, Jazz, Electronica and Soul are anything to go by, ‘Nikki Nack’ is going to be a beautifully fun experimentation with genre.
The album will see release on Friday May 2nd through 4AD and Remote Control Records.
