From 13 July 2020, the government set out further details on the UK’s points-based system.

These new arrangements will take effect from 1 January 2021.

Irish citizens will continue to be able to enter and live in the UK on the same conditions as at present

It appears that front-line health service staff are “unwelcome in Britain”, according to the labor Labour party.

The signal being sent is that unskilled migrants are no longer welcome in the UK and that the door is wide open to skilled migrants who add value to the UK economy will be welcome.
