The Prospector Train

The Prospector train serves the journey from East Perth Terminal to Kalgoorlie Station and returns. Perth and Kalgoorlie stations are served by a high-speed train once a day, twice on Monday and Friday.

As of 1971, the Perth to Kalgoorlie standard gauge railway route was operational, replacing the overnight sleeper service and reducing the 653 km trip time from fourteen hours to eight hours. And this made it the quickest service in Australia at that time.

In comparison to the 1970s model, the modern Prospector, which is also known to locals as the Kalgoorlie train, is equipped with:

  • Air conditioning.
  • Power points for charging your electronic devices
  • A full buffet service
  • On-demand personal entertainment systems. And this includes the latest releases in film and television programming.

In Broadmeadow, NSW, United Goninan developed the Prospector, a WDA/WDB/WDC train that serves the Western District of Australia. The Prospector, which has a restroom and accessibility facilities, is the ideal transportation model for exploring Western Australia’s Golden Outback.

Some of these cities are well-known for their distinctive characteristics. Here are some brief introductions to some of the more renowned among them:

Toodyay

Toodyay is one of the oldest inland settlements in Western Australia. And a significant portion of its history has been preserved there. It is located in the scenic Avon Valley and is a highly sought-after tourist attraction due to its location. The Noongar people were the first to settle in the area, followed by European explorers and later settlers starting in the 1830s.

Kellerberrin

A typical rural service centre in the middle of Western Australia’s Wheatbelt, Kellerberrin is a small town with a lot to offer. It receives just 350 mm (13.8 inches) of annual rainfall on average, yet this is adequate to produce substantial amounts of wheat, barley, and oats, among other crops. The Kellerberrin Heritage Trail has a total of 12 points of interest to visit.

Moorine Rock

It’s all about the gold and the water. The Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail is divided into two themes. When Moorine Rock was first found, it was known as “Parker’s Road” because it was so close to a trail that led to Parker Range, where a man named “Parker” had discovered gold back in 1888.
