Roots of Music feat. Cobi Marsh & special guests
Roots of Music is a weekly live music night on Wednesdays at Revolver Bandroom. With a fresh selection of the finest emerging and established bands each week, Roots of Music Wednesdays is the best place to discover new local and national talent. This week’s show is headlined by Cobi Marsh, whose eclectic mix of genres pays homage to old school Hip-Hop beats, infused with her own flavours of Soul, Pop and Reggae, with special guests to be announced soon. Entry is FREE and students receive 20% of food at Colonel Tan’s!

Red Bull Music Academy presents The Dinner Set feat. Jnett
Revolver Upstairs in collaboration with Red Bull Music Academy present The Dinner Set every Wednesday in the Back Bar from 7pm till late. The evening is hosted by Julien Love, Red Bull Music Academy NYC 2013 participant and one of Australia’s finest DJs.

Melbourne Fresh Industry Showcase
After 10 years Melbourne Fresh at Revolver Upstairs is the longest running Industry Showcase in Australia. Having showcased thousands of artists over this time, the legendary night has been a local industry hotspot for unsigned musicians and industry professionals. Running as a competition, Melbourne Fresh gives away thousands of dollars in prizes at each Grand Final with EP recordings, cash prizes, CD pressings, iTunes releases, management consultation and much more being up for grabs.

3181 Thursdays
From dinner to Disco, Revolver keeps it laidback and local in the Back Bar every Thursday from 6pm, with 3181 dinner resident Hans DC. Condensed Milk Collective cuzzies Amin Payne and Jackson Miles hit the decks from 10pm with a special guest each week, while the late night House and Techno you’d expect from the wee hours at Revolver are provided weekly by some of Melbourne’s finest youngsters including Hey Sam, Jesse Young, Matthew Butters, Sam Gudge, John Do, plus a plethora of weekly guests. Free entry all night and half price Colonel Tan’s for 3181 residents, traders and Revolver members.

Friday 16th August

Spa, Grindin’ & Obese Records present Dialectrix – The Cold Light Of Day National Tour
Undoubtedly one of Sydney’s favourite hometown artists, Dialectrix is regarded as one of the most prolific MCs and Hip-Hop performers in the country. Having just dropped his third album, Dialectrix embarks on a national tour across Australia launching the critically acclaimed ‘The Cold Light Of Day’, backed up by DJ 2Buck on the turntables and featuring special guests at each show.

Revolver Fridays
Helmed by Mike Callander and Lewie Day (aka Tornado Wallace), Revolver Fridays kicks the weekend into high gear with a healthy weekly dose of House and Techno in the Revolver Back Bar from 10pm til 7am. With DJ Who providing the warm-up dinner soundtrack from 7pm, rotating crews in the Front Bar from 1am, and Sunshine from 7am Saturday morning.

Saturday 17th August

Super Saloon, The Ugly Kings, Kaisha, Kalacoma & Ivy League
After playing to a packed crowd last month at Revolver, the whiskey-soaked Rock’n’Roll sounds of Super Saloon have, unsurprisingly, been asked to come back! This time, the party is going to be even bigger and local heavyweights The Ugly Kings will be contributing to this night of debauchery, with their Progressive Blues Rock that is guaranteed to get heads nodding. Also supporting is Kaisha, Kalacoma and Ivy Lucille.

The Late Show
The Late Show every Saturday night at Revolver Upstairs over two rooms, from 7pm til 7am. Expect anything and everything across genres and tempos, from Soul to Footwork, Afro to Techno, Soca to House…you get the idea. The Back Bar takes it easy in the dining hours then gathers momentum from 10pm; Front Room gets going from 1am with Upfront Club – residents include Ransom, Mat Cant, Paz, Lewis Cancut, Booshank and guests, plus Boogs from 7am Sunday.

Revolver Sundays
Revolver’s all day Electric Disco party is one of the world’s most unique clubbing experiences – tight like family, welcoming like long-lost friends and moved by a ceaselessly throbbing beat provided by five of Melbourne’s best DJs: Boogs, Spacey Space, T-Rek, Radiator and Silversix, plus regular guests and special events.

Tuesday 20th August

Never Cheer Before You Know Who’s Winning
Attention, trivia fans! Betcha don’t know the answer to these questions: Who is the lead singer of Friendly Fires? How many albums have You Am I released? What is the capital of Morocco? But enough rabating on from us. Mikey Cahill & Kerrie Loveless are your quiz consultants every Tuesday night 7.30pm til 9.45pm. They explore music, film, current events and other random topics. Prizes include CDs, tickets, drinkcards, meals and all kinds of wicked gear, including a booby prize! Plus, they’ll play Peace Sign Vs Metal Sign, the greatest thing since basketball/sex/text messages. Make sure you stick around afterwards as Repeter Fonda hits the decks from 10.30pm til 2am.
