Follow us on Google News

More than 25% of Costa Rica is made up of national parks, protected areas of rainforest, beaches, volcanoes, waterfalls and wetlands that are a conservation haven. As a result, over 500,000 species of animal can call Costa Rica home, including sea turtles, monkeys, cats and birds, beckoning a wildlife enthusiast to explore beyond their wildest dreams.

To make the most of the experiences on offer, a wildlife volunteer program in Costa Rica is an opportunity not to be missed. With a focus on the outstanding wildlife, you can become your very own David Attenborough in this Central American paradise with Frontier.

Costa Rica Big Cats, Primates & Turtle Conservation

Delve deep into the dense tropical rainforest of Costa Rica and become a crucial part of a team that’s helping a wide array of wildlife to thrive. In the Costa Rica Big Cats, Primates & Turtle Conservation Project, you can expect to carry out surveys on the habitats and threats on primates, turtles and big cats as well as river otters, birds and butterflies, and work out how to best protect them. Working in a volunteer team, you can expect to make lifelong friends however long you stay, make a positive difference to the wildlife of Costa Rica, and explore a tropical paradise.

Accommodation during the Costa Rica Big Cats, Primates & Turtle Conservation Project is a wilderness camp situated right in the dense rainforest next to a beautiful turtle beach on the Pacific Ocean. Camp meals are provided, as well as project orientation and training, in-country and international support, and airport pick-up if you arrive on a Monday. Even before you leave, you’ll receive plenty of travel and medical advice directly from the guys at Frontier.

The Costa Rica Big Cats, Primates & Turtle Conservation Project starts from £695pp for one week, running all the way up to 20+ weeks for £3,195pp.
