Yacht Club DJs Reveal A Mix Tape Set To Spook! West Australian Leg of National Tour Announced Presented by Beat, Brag and Rave

Twelve months, six hundred samples, multiple viewings of ‘50s horror movies, two guys and one cat. When you mash all those elements together you get Yacht Club DJs third mix tape. Australian party-starters, Yacht Club DJs have unleashed the ultimate mix tape featuring lovable dance pop-metal-thrash tunes to induce night terrors (or dancing spasms) around the country. Featuring anything from the iconic Australian commercial for Bananas, to Beastie Boys and Marilyn Manson.

Gareth Harrison and Guy Chappell-Lawrence have spent innumerable hours indoors with the aptly named Battle Cat at their side – a litmus test purring at the right mix – rendering them ready to terrorize Australia with ‘They Mostly Come At Night… Mostly’ Mix Tape and national tour. Setting the bar even higher than their previous smash ups which made their way onto eBay selling more than $100,‘They Mostly Come At Night…Mostly’ is according to Guy, “A mashed stinky soup of the first two mix tapes.”

Spending a year testing different tracks, Guy says it was “all the Gator and Hill Billy shows, pies, NBA jam, Crushed Velvet Jesus anthems and heckling about the lack of ‘90s grunge from our manager that has polarized this mix tape into the best thing we’ve made to date (or at least the most Journey we’ve used).”

Highlighting the very reason that they started Yacht Cub DJs as the ability to ruin good songs for no good reason, listen out for the”SeaChange” theme song mashed with Ludacris and Red Hot Chili Peppers as Guy’s favourite mash up.

‘They Mostly Come Out At Night…Mostly’to Gaz, is their most concise sounding work and is a more focused attempt at representing their musical tastes as well as their skills as mash up artists.

They’ve created the perfect blend of dance floor madness, music trivia and nerdy comedy. If this mix tape is anything to go by Yacht Club DJs will have the dancefloor bustin’ a move. They’ll be heading all over Australia, delighting regionals and capital cities with their horror mixes. Hurry, tickets are selling fast.
