Africulture Festival – 15th March 2014

Africulture Festival 2014

Back for its sixth year in 2014, the Africulture festival will be returning to Auburn Park to bring you the best of African culture with a diverse combination of music, art, food, dance and everything else you can imagine!

Showcasing and promoting the rich heritage of Africa, the one day festival prides itself on celebrating traditional African culture, offering those native to the country who have migrated to Australia the chance to meet those from other cultures, whilst also giving Australians the chance to sample some diversity in their home country.

With poetry, acrobatics, fashion shows, comedy and exhibitions of African arts and crafts, foods and community information, the Africulture festival is your one-stop day fest offering you the chance to sample an alternative society to your own. Not only this, the festival also offers those native to Africa the opportunity to develop their work skills and even launch their own small businesses – what more could you ask for?

Confirmed for the main music stage already are the Okapi Guitar band, Afrochild, Lucky African Dance & Drum and plenty more – be sure to keep up to date with the website for more programme updates!
