Berlin-based house and techno producer, Emanuel Satie, is set to finally tour Australia for the first time after a massive 12 months.
The German came to everyone’s attention in 2015 through some standout remixes and productions which included his tough house version of The 2 Bears’ ‘Get Out’, and his bass-driven remix of Sante’s ‘Never Enough’. It was this year’s rework he did of Late Night Tuff Guy’s ‘I Get Deep’ which really opened up the doors for him. The track was number one on Beatport for many weeks and was played by every major DJ. Even Pete Tong has been giving the German high plaudits and support, proclaiming that Emanuel’s track ‘Private Show’ was probably featured Tong’s ‘favourite bassline of 2015′, and dance music authority, Mixmag, also proclaimed Satie as one to watch in 2016: ‘Emanuel Satie is someone who’s going to explode this year, take our word for it’
Satie will start the tour on the 29th July in Melbourne’s Revolver, before he flies across the ditch the very next day for his debut NZ performance at Auckland’s Neck of the Woods. He won’t stay for too long though as he heads to Adelaide’s Sugar on Friday the 5th of August, after which he flies to Sydney the next day to play at the Barrio Cellar. Finally, he will finish the tour in Launceston on Sunday the 7th August.
