Kakadu tour three days from Darwin Australia

You can experience the beauty and diversity of the Kakadu National Park over three days starting from Darwin. You will discover aboriginal art and get up and close to the largest reptile in the world. You can also go on a river cruise to get to know about native life. 

You also will have the option to get a bird’s eye view of the flood plains of the parks and escarpment of the country. You can learn about the traditions and stories of Australia’s oldest living cultures and experience Kakadu’s iconic sunsets. 

Entering Aboriginal Land

You will start from Darwin and go along the Stuart and Arnhem highway for about two hours to enter Kakadu National Park. You will need a park pass as you will be entering Aboriginal Land. With this pass, you gain access to interpretative materials and a ranger-guided walk and talk. 

Bowali Visitor Centre

You can stop at Bowali Visitor Centre for refreshments and then wander through the gallery and the display. You can also get to know about conditions like road closures and other conditions through the visitor centre. 

The East Alligator

You can see the Kakadu National Park from the waters while cruising on the East Alligator. You should keep your eyes out for crocodile as your guide gives you insights regarding culture, stories about creation, survival skills, and bush food.

The history of Nourlangie Rock

The Nourlangie Rock art site was used as a place of shelter from storms for thousands of years. The arts on the walls provides an insight into the spiritual tradition of the aboriginal people. 

Mount Cahill

You can challenge yourself to reach the top of Mount Cahill, which is a 3.6 km return trails that take approximately about 1.5 hours. 

Crystal clear Maguk

You will need to make a short walk to Maguk waterfall which will lead you to a tranquil waters and a crystal clear pool of water.
