Absinthe Appreciation Society Event @ Eau de Vie Sydney

When asked about your favourite spirit, you might name something like gin or whiskey; it’s unlikely you’d consider Absinthe (which can have an ABV of up to 89% !) as one of your preferred tipples. Eau de Vie Sydney is here to change all that with their upcoming Absinthe Appreciation Society event, perfect for Absinthe-afficianos and novices alike.

On Wednesday 28th June, from 7-10pm, the 1920’s style cocktail bar Eau de Vie Sydney will be opening its doors to educate ticket-holders on all there is to know about Absinthe. Once portrayed as a dangerously addictive psychoactive drug and hallucinogen, the drink has certainly not always had the greatest reputation, but through a combination of storytelling and tasting, Eu de Vie are sure to debunk any myths you may previously believed!

At this event you’ll learn the history of the green drink, how to use it in delicious cocktails and the right way to drink it, and Darlinghurst’s top cocktail bar is certainly the place to do it.
