Adrenaline in the City – Climb The Sydney Harbour Bridge
Adrenaline is synonymous with Australia – be it in the form of swimming with sharks, avoiding saltwater crocs in the NT, or skydiving the beach, but you don’t often associate adrenaline activities with Sydney. That is, until you think about the prospect of scaling the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
A death defying 134 metres above the Harbour, you’ll be at the summit of the Bridge surrounded by panoramic views of Sydney, impossible to see from anywhere else in the city. Having climbed the 1332 steps with your group of fellow climbers, the BridgeClimb team will ensure you have a decent photo op so you can prove to any doubters that you have in fact conquered one of the world’s largest bridges.
BridgeClimb Sydney hold climbs several times a day including dawn, afternoon, twilight and night time – meaning you can view the city from this unique perspective at whatever time of day you’re ready for an adrenaline rush.
Taking in the pink tint of the clouds as the sun rises is simply stunning at dawn as the city is waking up, or the hustle and bustle of the traffic, people, and boats below during the day will seem as if you’re looking down on a toy city. Come night time you can see the spectacular lights of Sydney as they twinkle in the distance.
Your BridgeClimb experience lasts around three hours from start to finish. Beginning at the Climb Base you’ll have a chance to go to the Visitor Centre and Cinema to find out more about the history, preservation and celebration of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, before you embark on your climb.
Joined by a Climb Leader and no more than 14 in a group, you’re kitted out with all of the gear that you’ll need to stay safe while on the Bridge, so all you need is your sunglasses (depending on the time of day that is), a pair of comfortable shoes and a sense of adventure!
