Performing at: Busselton Fringe, Perth Comedy Festival & Sydney Comedy Festival
Mocking identity and labels is easy when a family secret can change everything you think you are… and when being yourself is the worst career move you could ever make. Savage, slick and hilarious Craig Quartermaine (Tonightly with Tom Ballard, NITV, triple j’s One Night Stand-Up) is back with another lovingly barbed show packed with personal stories and acerbic insights.
In 2018, national RAW comedy finalist Craig travelled to St Helen’s in Tassie to perform on the first ever comedy stage at triple j’s ‘One Night Stand’ live show. 20,000 people attend that event, but that’s nothing compared to the well over 2 million views Craig subsequently earned for the clip of his set. His clip may have struck a chord with comedy fans and horse-lovers around the world, but the plethora of TV and radio appearances, European tours and festival seasons Craig has already clocked up in his relatively young comedy career prove that this razor-sharp comedian is no novelty act.
He’s co-headlined with Brendon Burns and opened for comedy heavy-weights Hannibal Buress, Chris D’Elia, Nazeem Hussain and Jim Jefferies in their theatre shows, and now Craig is back with another show packed with his take on race, politics – and enjoying life as an Indigenous Australian and Horse Husband.
