Something Else’s new weekly residency at Sydney’s newest underground hotspot, The Bunk3r – Sydney, is turning into Something rather special. It seems like people in Sydney are really embracing techno again which makes us one happy little party crew….
This Saturday 27th May we’re welcome our good friends Lando & Baron Castle from Myth Music back to showcase their labels technogoodness on the Bunk3r’s mighty fine Funktion 1 system.
Founded in 2014 by then Berlin residents Lando and Baron Castle, Myth Music was originally established as a vehicle to release some of Lando’s productions. Over a few releases though, the label opened up to release music from the likes of Dorisburg, S:VT, Young Male, Will & Ink and of course Lando himself.
Besides DJing regularly all over Berlin and Europe, for both label founders the German capital was the perfect place to find their groove.
On the release front, Lando spent the years turning out increasingly impressive work for a variety of labels, including Rush Hour, Hotflush, Numbers, Icee Hot, Ultramajic, and Stillcold.
Castle meanwhile spent the years as an integral member of the Boiler Room team, helping run labels Hotflush and Greco-Roman and founding the popular White Tiles events.
2016 saw Lando relocate to his native California and Castle to Sydney, and the label was put on a brief pause, until now, with releases and more tours penned in 2017.
For this leg of the AU tour they’ve invited Sydney staples Oscar.Mike and Dave Stuart.
