solution architecture and design Our client is looking for the services of a Solution Architect Provide technical architecture expertise for various projects and contribute to the solution architecture and design of the new system and guide project teams and technical specialists on suitable changes to our client’s technical and business environment. This will be provided via technical advice and documentation that describes proposed solution architectures.
Other duties:
- Contribute to the integration of the new system with other systems;
- Assesses and communicates the impacts, trade-offs, risks, costs, benefits and opportunities of solutions;
- Work closely with PM, ICT and vendors to ensure the required changes in infrastructure and software are met during the implementation process;
- Monitor and report on technical risks to the project;
- Performs project assurance to validate that solution architecture aligns with the enterprise architecture;
- Work with the BA’s, TA’s, Applications Architect and Developers to determine estimates and work required to migrate and transform applications as well as lift and shift systems;
- Work effectively in a small team environment;
- Provide knowledge/skills transfer to other team members.
The succesful candidate will have
- At least 5 years’ direct experience as a Solutions Architect with demonstrated experience designing and developing enterprise wide access management solutions in a multi-agency environment;
- Experience with architecture design, development and deployment of data driven and collaborative centric solutions;
- Experience with maintenance of models of current and future architectures;
- Experience with developing business cases for IT solutions;
- Experience providing assurance for stability, inter-operability, portability, security, or scalability of system architecture;
- TOGAF certification (The Open Group);
- Archimate experience is desisable;
- Sparx EA experience desirable but not essential.
