Things to do in Wollongong New South Wales Temples Brewery Forest walks

Wollongong NSW

The ‘gong is a huge university located a few of hours south of Sydney. Wherever you find college students, you can be sure to find cheap alcohol, inebriated young women, and plenty of chances to act in a very infantile manner. Obviously, that’s not anything we would ever consider doing.

The third-largest city in NSW

Yet there’s more. An ‘old’ nineteenth-century lighthouse, some wicked surfing beaches on either side, and a fishing fleet in Belmore Harbour ensure that the fish markets in the mornings get plenty of fresh seafood, giving the impression that the ‘Gong is more like a charming village in Devon or Cornwall than the third-largest city in New South Wales. North Beach has the finest surf for surfers, while the harbour beaches are more suitable for people who want to dip their toes in the water.

Nan Tien Buddhist Temple

Wollongong also has Nan Tien Buddhist Temple, the largest in Australia. The temple offers two-day meditation retwollogond rainforest picturereats if it’s your cup of tea.

Five Island Brewery

If that fails, being completely leathered is always a possibility, and the Five Islands Brewery, located at the intersection of Crown and Harbour Street, is the perfect place to do it. In addition to brewing a range of beers on the premises, the tavern has wonderful beach views from its veranda. You may enjoy the quite alcoholic Bulli Black, Dapto Draught Rust, and Long Board, as well as the extremely addicting alcoholic Ginger Beer, on one of their daily free tours that starts at noon. You better believe it, it’s top-notch.

Things to do in Wollongong New South Wales Temples Brewery Forest walks: Blowhole at Kiama

After replenishing your fluids at the Five Islands, if you’re feeling up to it, you may try hiking south of Wollongong to the Kiama blowhole. Not far from the shore, you may see a really remarkable natural phenomenon: the sea pours its might through a fissure in the rock at various points during the day, creating a picture opportunity that will surely wow your friends back home.
