48 Hours In Sydney
48 Hours In Sydney Planning to spend a couple of days in Sydney? Not sure what to do or where to start your city adventure? We’ve put together a perfect 48-hour itinerary with a real mix of action-packed and relaxing activities enabling you to see the best of what Sydney has to offer!
48 Hours In Sydney Day One:
10:30 Free Walking Tour
We’ve allowed you to have a bit of a lie in this morning. Enjoy a relaxing breakfast and meander into the city at your own pace! The best way to get your bearings of your new surroundings is with a free walking tour with I’m Free. Your guide will be on George Street, between Sydney Town Hall and St Andrew’s Cathedral, wearing a bright green “I’m Free” T-shirt! Make sure you arrive a few minutes before the tour is due to start as despite the fact it’s free they do have limits on numbers due to health and safety. During the tour you’ll visit the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Rocks. However, you’ll also go off the beaten track down some of Sydney’s laneways to see a quirkier side of town.

1:30 Lunchtime at Circular Quay!
You must be feeling peckish by now! Your ‘Sydney Sights’ walking tour ends in Circular Quay near the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Grab some grub at one of the many street side eateries and prepare yourself for an epic afternoon!
2.30 pm BridgeClimb Sydney
1000% worth every penny! BridgeClimb Sydney will give you the most extraordinary 360 degree panoramic views of the city as you journey to its summit! It’s such a unique experience that we can guarantee you’ll have your profile pic sorted for the next couple months! Climbs are available at dawn, in the day, twilight and at night. 6pm Opera Bar
After such a euphoric experience you may feel as though you’ve seen the best of what’s on offer! But we promise it’s not over yet! Keep that buzzing feeling by heading to the Opera Bar. With splendid views over the Harbour and free live music each night it is the perfect place to watch the sunset and enjoy the tunes to a relaxing beverage!

Spend your evening sampling Sydney’s nightlight, from the many bars, we suggest having a drink at one of the bars along Darling Harbour, or heading into Kings Cross for some raucous fun.
Day 2
9am Coogee to Bondi Coastal Walk
Make the most of day 2 and plan to arrive at Coogee Beach in good time. A lot of people do this walk in reverse, however with loads to enjoy at Bondi we think it’s a great option to start at Coogee. This walk would take you around 2 hours to complete if you walked at a steady and continuous pace! We do however recommend you go equipped with your swimmers, towel, goggles, snacks and water, as there are so many perfect little beaches to stop at along the way. Take a dip in the water at one of the many coves and you’ll see some of Australia’s colourful marine life right on Sydney’s doorstep.
1:00pm Grub’s up!
It’s that time of day again and hopefully you’ve made it to Bondi! There are loads of cool and quirky restaurants to choose from. If you’re looking for something reasonably priced with great views across the world-famous Bondi Beach, North Bondi RSL does some pretty good deals.

3:00pm Barefoot Lawn Bowls
We thought we’d mix it up this afternoon and do something a bit different! Barefoot Lawn Bowls has become a bit of a thing in the past couple of years and is the perfect place to have a bit of friendly competition if you’re travelling with new or old friends. You can walk in and have a game or two for just $12. Alternatively if you’re in an organising mood and fancy getting a group together from your hostel, you can pre-book a 2 hour block, for 20 people, at the cost of $8 per person! Bargain hey!?

After dinner you could treat yourself to a drink in one of Darlinghurst’s coolest bars such as Eu De Vie, Shady Pines, Darlo Bar or Pocket Bar to finish off your time in Sydney.
