Renovated Pub

Over the years the Bat & Ball has had many faces and different attitudes to business. As most people would know, there are a lot of bars in the Oxford Street and Redfern area and a sprinkling of pubs. This pub has managed to keep its soul. Well, most of it. Other notes on the renovations are that the TAB is gone. The changes that they have made down that end of the bar make it more of an English pub.

Ease of Access

The central location of the Bat and Ball makes it an ideal place for Sydney lodging without exaggerating the cost. The Bat and Ball are within easy walking distance from the highlights of the city and for those longer treks, there is a bus stop at the door. With a separate dining room and a fantastic chef preparing Thai cuisine and traditional pub meals, the hotel is family-friendly.

The History Council of NSW would like to welcome our members and corporate partners to our Annual Christmas Party. Festivities will begin at 6 pm and will include drinks, nibbles and a chance to meet some of our other wonderful members. This event is free to all members and corporate partners, although places are limited. RSVP is essential for catering purposes.
