
What’s on in Sydney New South Wales – Crave International Food Festival
On all of October Sydney is full of spice with the annual Crave International Food
Festival. Gretchen Lee has found the best cheap and free events around town for
your tasting pleasure.
Night Noodle Markets
This occurs at Hyde Park North and is a festival favourite. Not only is there the
food, but there is also entertainment and bars open to all.
When: October 10-14 and 17-21, 5 to 9 pm weeknights,
BARBECUE MADNESS
If you prefer a cheaper option, then this is the event for you, with plenty of
affordable events around town showcasing many barbecue flavours from around
the world.

KIDS CRAZY ISLAND TEA PARTY!
For those with children, check this out on weekends. You catch a ferry from Man
O’War steps to get to Goat Island with awesome views of the Sydney Harbour.
From there, you can check out the Lindt Teddy Bear’s Picnic, Sparkle Cupcakery
Factory, Pirates Hideaway Cave and the Enchanted Tea Party.
When: October 15-16, 22-23, 29-30 for free, however, there are only two sessions a
day and so you have to get in quick.
BREAKFAST ON BONDI
Beach bums and early risers head to Bondi, bring your own brekkie or grab
something from the stalls on the beach run by the local restaurants and enjoy the
surf! Celebrity hosts will also be there such as Bill Granger, as will be live music and
entertainment to light up the beach and even Masterchef’s surf-lifesaver, Hayden
Quinn.
