What’s on in Sydney New South Wales – Cyantific and Wilkinson (UK)

On Friday 9th December Chinese Laundry will once again play host to two of the hottest names in Drum and Bass to date, on a night where the only thing as massive as the Laundry line up will be the drink specials-get ready for CYANTIFIC and WILKINSON!

Award-winning DJ Jon & twisted synth genius Matt, AKA Cyantific, have been making harsh tasty beats together since high school but burst onto the DnB scene in 2002 when they were signed to the massive Hospital Records label (after a tip-off from High Contrast, no less). It was 2006 which saw the release of their Debut LP Ghetto Blaster; an epic album of futuristic beats which won instant plaudits from both fans and critics alike and really marked Cyantific’s place in DnB history. Cyantific’s skills behind the decks were recognized in 2007 after scooping up the highly prized Best Breakthrough DJ award from BBC 1Xtra, and now, a slew of high profile performances later, Cyantific’s sights are set on Sydney, and you best be there to witness what is guaranteed to be one of the wildest sets in DnB history!

Also headlining this drool-worthy DnB event is Wilkinson, who was brought into the DnB scene after Cyantific passed on a few of his tracks to the highly coveted Hospital Records label. Since then, Wilkinson has produced some of the most sought-after tracks to date under the massive Ram Records outfit, with three tunes featured on Andy C’s Nightlife 5 album, as well as the mighty tune? Every time?/?Overdose? doing damage across dance-floors worldwide and winning Wilkinson support from the likes of Skream, Fabio and High Contrast. Now hotly tipped to do big things across drum & bass and electronica, Wilkinson is busy working on his debut album for Ram Records and continues to tour worldwide from Sydney to Berlin, Barcelona to Brighton, with his dynamic and energetic DJ sets demanding your attention and attendance.
