What’s on in Sydney New South Wales – James Blake

Why this gig isn’t already sold out I don’t know. James Blake burst onto the music scene with his prize winning debut album ‘Echoes’ early on in 2011. He combines traditional elements of Jazz, Soul and Funk with more modernistic Dub and Grime.

His soulful voice was most noticed by the single ‘Limit To Your Love’ which has elements similar to that of the late Gil Scott-Heron. To put any name next to that of Gil Scott-Heron’s they have got to be pretty good.

With romantic lyrics and moving melodies, this gig would be an ideal date for that special someone, so don’t put your feet up in front of the TV, get out there, it’s a Saturday night and it comes personally recommended by me.

This is also James Blake last Australian performance after playing in Melbourne and Woodford earlier this week. If you want to catch this up and coming star before he jets back to England, well now is your only chance.
