What’s on in Sydney New South Wales – Sydney Winter Festival THE winter festivals are coming thick and fast now and the Sydney Winter Festival is the latest to offer Sydneysiders the chance to snap a wrist on an outdoor ice rink.
The ‘alpine’ atmosphere comes complete with ski huts, log cabins, delicious European food, mulled wine and the distinct sounds of yodeling. Did someone say ‘annoying’? Far from it.
The St Moritz Bar also offers festival-goers an opportunity to goulash, German Bratwurst and many more delicacies.
When: Until 4 July at Cathedral Square, Cook & Phillip Park; then
16 – 25 July at Bondi Beach
Cost: Free entry. $17 ice skating.
