Besides being the best damn marsupials any of us have ever had the pleasure of caressing at Australia’s Wildlife Park, THE WOMBATS are also one of the biggest and most-hyped indie bands of the moment, and we’re not surprised that their October 14th Hordern Sydney gig SOLD OUT pretty darn quickly. With a repertoire of indie anthems such as Tokyo (Vampires And Wolves)’, ‘Techno Fan’, ‘Jump In The Fog’, and ‘Let’s Dance to Joy Division’, you’d expect as much.

Great news: the party doesn’t end after the mop-headed British hipsters step off the Hordern stage. We’re pleased as punch to announce that The World Bar’s Friday night indie party MUM will be playing host to THE OFFICIAL WOMBATS AFTERPARTY that very evening, thanks to Future Entertainment. Greater news: it will be free entry all night for all of those coming down after the gig. (usually $15 entry – flash your Wombats ticket stub at the door for free entry).
