Tour Broome, Kimberley region and the Coral coast. Broome is a beach resort town in Kimberley region of Western Australia. It is a popular holiday hub known for its rich history and tourist attractions such as the Cable Beach, Roebuck Bay and Pearling Industry. Broome is also known as home for the world’s oldest open-air cinema known as the Sun Picture Garden.

Broome is one of the most visited places in the world due to its suitable weather condition and tropical vibe. It is also the gateway to the wild Kimberley region. If you are a road trip enthusiast, you must to take a drive along the roads around Broome and the Kimberleys and enjoy and explore what this region has to offer.

  • Coral Coast

The Coral Coast stretches from Exmouth in the north, to Cervantes and Jurien Bay in the South. There is plenty of things to see and do as you travel. You can stop at the Shark Bay World Heritage area, snorkel around the Ningaloo Reef, bushwalking and also learn about Australia’s Indigenous culture and heritage. If you are more into adventure and water sports you can scuba dive, go fishing and surf.

  • Savannah Way

Savannah Way is a 3700 km road which passes through some of the scenic landscapes, world heritage areas and fifteen national parks. This driving route links Cairns in Queensland to Broome in Western Australia via Katherine in the Northern Territory. You can also try the Broome to Katherine route, which will take you through Brookling Gorge Conservation Park, Purnulu National Park, and many other spots which are perfect for bird watching, fishing, and viewing Aboriginal rock art. Its going to be an adventurous drive as much of the highway is on unsealed roads.

 

As you drive on the Gibb River Road you can view age-old rock formations, mountainous terrain, wildlife, and natural scenery. It is a historical cattle route that stretches for 660 kilometers inland from Derby to Wyndham. The Gibb River Road is an alternative route to the Great Northern Highway and is closed during the wet season. Along the way, you can see Tunnel Creek National Park, Adcock Gorge, Manning Gorge, and the King Leopold Ranges.
