Perth to Monkey Mia Return Tour What should you know about Shark Bay?
As a result of its pristine beaches, crystal-clear oceans, red-orange sand dunes, and diverse species, Shark Bay was the first place in Western Australia to be designated a World Heritage Site in 1991. Shark Bay was nominated for World Heritage status because of its colorful and diversified landscapes, unique wildlife and plants, and world-class examples of Earth’s natural processes. These are the characteristics that distinguish Shark Bay as a truly remarkable area.
Shark Bay is teeming with a diverse collection of species. The presence of dolphins, dugongs, massive loggerheads, and green turtles is constant throughout the year. When it’s hot out, they’re joined by sea snakes, sharks (including our biggest, an impressive 4.5-metre tiger shark), stingrays, flying fish, and the weird long tom, a fish that skips over the water. Manta rays and whales, both of which are very uncommon, are among the highlights.
According to the government of Western Australia, the potentially dangerous box jellyfish and Irukandji are sometimes seen in the vicinity, even though they are generally not there. These creatures are most often seen between November and April. Stigmer suits may provide some kind of protection for the body areas that are covered by them. If you have been stung, apply a generous amount of vinegar to the wound and seek medical attention immediately.
Perth to Monkey Mia Return Tour The world-famous Monkey Mia dolphins
Monkey Mia is one of Western Australia’s most well-known dolphin-watching sites, and it’s easy to see why. To get there, you can either fly from Perth in two hours or take a day-long drive from Denham in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area. Monkey Mia provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to view wild dolphins in their natural environment. Everybody loves dolphins, and the fact that you can see them in large numbers is one of the good reasons to consider Perth to Monkey Mia tours return.
The dates and times of the dolphin encounters depend on whether the dolphins visit the beach. From 7.45 a.m. to 12 p.m., they will only be served fish during their first three visits.
