
Three Day Fraser Island Tour Hiking and 4WD Adventure From Hervey Bay
Enjoy the 3 day adventure on Fraser Island including round-trip transport by barge and 4WD on a self-guided hike along rainforest trails, towering dunes and pristine beaches. The group is limited to six people with two days of moderate hiking.
Inclusions
For the 3 day hike all equipment such as camping permits, barge transfers, 70L backpack, all camping and cooking equipment, maps and itineraries are included. Sleeping bags and rain jackets can be hired at an additional $10 per item. All you need to bring is your personal gear and food. As this is a self- guided hiking tour you will not have a guide.

Itinerary
Day 1: Hervey Bay to Fraser Island Lake Wabby. Your hiking adventure starts with a pickup, safety briefing and equipment check. The driver will take you on a 4WD adventure from Hervey Bay to the eastern beach of Fraser Island. You will be dropped at the entrance to Lake Wabby, enjoy a lunch stop and your hiking adventure begins with a 3 km hike into Lake Wabby, where you spend your first night camping under the stars.
Day 2: Lake Wabby to Lake McKenzie. Have a swim before packing and hiking through untouched rainforest to Lake McKenzie. Swim at the secret hiker’s beach or enjoy a magical sunset and sunrise. Walking Distance is 12 km or optional 22 km via Central Station and camp at Lake McKenzie.
Day 3: Lake McKenzie to Hervey Bay. Enjoy a swim at Lake McKenzie. After morning tea or lunch, take a moderate hike 8 km or optional 13 km out to the barge at Kingfisher Bay Resort. Meet your 4wd transfer by 4.30 pm to get back to your car or accommodation in Hervey Bay.
