Grampians Music Festival announce Press Club
Introducing Press Club: Frenetic and Raw. This female fronted punk group out of Melbourne, Australia is the coming together of four Brunswick natives. Their roots lay in a city in a state of flux experiencing decay, demolition and development on a mass scale. PRESS CLUB is the musical embodiment of the attitude of a generation experiencing impermanence in every way. Grampians Music Festival Announce: Press Club.
Press Club – Headwreck
Fast, straight to the point and up in your face ‘Headwreck’ is the first taste of what is to come from Press Club. Two minutes and thirty seconds of commanding punk. Self produced, ‘Headwreck’ was recorded on a sweltering 40-degree day, the band dripping wet in the studio. It’s about a place we’ve all been. In a relationship with someone that doesn’t treat you right, doesn’t respect you. It’s a call to arms to respect yourself, to demand more. “Keeping all these changes in my head it’s alright // one day I’ll make it to the end of the line // I’m not gonna give up easy I’ll give everything I know”. Shot in a Collingwood warehouse, the video for ‘Headwreck’ saw the band enlist the help of two mates, Nick Manuell and Will Maconachie, to create a video that captures the band’s brash energy and embody how the song was recorded: live and in one take.
