What’s On at LOOP Melbourne This week the Melbourne International Comedy Festival ambush continues amongst our residents Process who will host their monthly examination on Monday to discuss experimentation in Architecture, Loopdeloop with a careful curation of animated shorts on Tuesday and a very special edition of Loophole this Thursday with Jessirose Streker’s ‘ppiffawucci’ exhibition opening at 6.00pm. Keep your ears peeled for the weekly Loop Radio mixtape as well, published online and played in house every Thursday. After a Saturday sleepover at Baba’s House on the weekend past, we look toBendy Rainbow and Mix Cult for this weekend’s slumber parties.

In April PROCESS presents “EXPO: Experimentation in Architecture” an examination of how the architectural exhibition can encourage innovative projects that test the boundaries of design and strive to shape the future.

Self-taught artist Jessirose Streker paints portraits of people who have had an impact, whether positive or negative, on her. She is not concerned with whether a subject could be considered suitable for a portrait and does not find it necessary to provide any explanatory context in the images.

Hotting-up the house this month is all-rounder guest deejay, horn player and new Melbourne resident, HipHopHoe. On high rotation in the Sydney queer club scene, and now carving it up in her new home town, HipHopHoe’s sets spans genres, decades, moods and sounds. On the warm-up from 9pm are Bendy Rainbow firestarters, Jack Popper, The D Word and Alicia, playing their distinct brand of uplifting grooves to keep those bodies moving. HipHopHoe has played the Opera House, but what will she play at our house?
