Guitars across the Bay: March 19 and 20
The historic seaport of Williamstown will be the host of the first of many Melbourne International Guitar Festivals at Seaworks.
The guitar festival will take guitar players, enthusiasts and music lovers through an assortment of sounds and styles of the guitar and guitar players, featuring some of Australia’s finest Guitarist’s over 2 days on 3 different stages. Exhibitor stands of builders and distributors of Guitars, musical instruments and accessories will display and demonstrate their products in the main Industrial Workshed. There will also be ‘guitar workshops’ conducted by some of the performers.
It’s a wonderful opportunity and not to be missed, to experience world class Guitarists performing solo, in duos or with their band(s) playing various styles of music i.e. Jazz, Blues, Classical, Country, Rock, Pop, Slide Texas Blues, Rockabilly, Flamenco, Spanish and Fusion, something for everyone and across generations.

One of the highlights will be the RocKwiz Orkestra’s ‘Guitar Players Show’ with guest guitarists performing classic guitar instrumentals. There’s the main outdoor stage with the city scope across the bay providing the backdrop and providing our festival/logo name, plus 2 indoor stages, the Nelson Room and the Pirates Tavern.
A variety of food will be available at the festival and has been taken care of by the local Rotary Club of Williamstown, as well as their usual sausage sizzle there will also be plenty of different food stall styles to choose from including tea & coffee, fruit juices, healthy sandwiches, Dutch Pancakes (Poffertjes), hotdogs and donuts, fairy floss, hot potatoes, and ice cream. Alcohol will be available and can only be purchased in the 2 bars available onsite, the Pirates Tavern and the Nelson Room and is not permitted to be brought onto the Seaworks site due to permit regulations.

Or for purchase at counter, there will be a limited number of tickets available at an appointed local Williamstown outlet or at the door on the day unless sold out prior. The cost for a weekend pass is $95
